Our Mission
Trade Skill Academy is a non-profit organization based in Pocahontas, AR, dedicated to providing free education in trades and skills related to the construction industry to teens. The academy's unique selling point is that all classes are taught by licensed and trained professionals, and the education is provided free of charge. Our goal is to equip our students with skills that they can turn into a career, source of second income, and useful trades they'll be able to use for decades to come.
Our Instructors
Our instructors use a hands-on approach with your student from start to finish. While your teen will learn from licensed and experienced contractors, sub-contractors, and industry professionals, your teen will be the one provided with the opportunity to design, build, and finish their class building project. Our instructors will provide education, guidance, and oversight to insure a safe and product learning environment.

Because Trade Skill is a non-profit organization, we're able to provide this hands-on eduction to your student COMPLETELY FREE. We will provide your student with a tool belt fully equipped with everything they will need for the class. All materials are paid for by our sponsors. At the end of your students 2 week class, you'll have the opportunity to tour their tiny home and review their progress before the building is auctioned off to help raise funds for future classes.
